Trauma is not what happens to you, it is what happens inside you”- Dr. Gabor Maté. Olivia Hendrix is receiving her Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University and is also an MFT and LPCC trainee. She will share her knowledge of how trauma affects our brains and the impact that can have throughout our lives. She will also discuss the queer experience and the unique challenges we face. Finally, she will share tools anyone can use to metabolize trauma. We can ‘own our trauma’ when we understand it, and that power can have life-changing effects.
